i had service and lab tests done in may of 2011 i paid for the services at the time that i recieved them. i also recieved a bill from the lab that i paid in June 2011. i am now recieving a bill that started coming in Oct 2011 for the charges for the lab that was done in the office which i had paid for at the time the lab test were done. how can they charge me again for the same test that i have already paid for, and tell me why they waited 6 months to send this bill.

This appears to have been an accounting error. If you give them proof of yrou previous payment, they shoudl stop billing you. If a collector (somone other than the lab) later contacts you about this bill, you may be able to make a claim against them. If you cannot prove that you already paid the bill, you may have tougher issue to deal with. If you cannto stop them by proving you already paid, you should consult direclty with a civil practice attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation.

Good luck
