in the state of Kansas in small claims cases if the defendant pays the plaintiff before the court case goes to trail can the defendant collect the filing fees???????????

S defendant didn't usually incur filling fees. So, if they were to get them paid to them by the plaintiff, it someone else, it would be a windfall. Courts don't usually reward defendant's for waiting until they've been sued to pay an obligation.
