Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
Last April my friend and I were caught shoplifting. We appeared in court, we were each granted diversion and given a fee of over $500. The few was paid on time at the courthouse and I was given a receipt. My question is what now? It was been a few months and I thought I was okay but now I am not sure. I never received a date, a number to call, or any further instructions. I have never been in trouble before and I'm scared I have a warrant! Help!

Call the courthouse to see what your status is. Since you were able to pay the fee online. This may be one of the few jurisdictions that allow you to check your status online as well.
Good luck
