Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
My boyfriend just turned 24 on the 3rd of July I'm 16 turning 17 in October. I'm pregnant and the legal age of consent is 16 in the state of Kansas. Can he or I face any crimminal charges or anything of that matter?

Under the facts you descibed, your boyfriend committed statutory rape. You may be able to seek support from him, as well as the state may go after him for support and your parents for neglect. Parents are rarely charged in these cases, but it is possible. If they knew you were possibly sexually vulnerable to this man, they could be found to be complicit in the rapre and therefore unfit or criminally liable as an accomplices in the rape..
