court hearing in a wk 4 not completing repeat DUI recomendations

I have a court hearing in Kansas on Aug. 30th because I violated my probation. I am a repeat (2) DUI offender. No sympathy but this all happened in college and I just want to move on with my life. I have been out of college for one year and was given a year from December 2005 to complete my probation. I made the first 3 months payments but missed the last five. I only owe $890 but I havent completed my Outpaitient program. I have worked 5 jobs in 3 different states. Time just seemed to fly by. I just want to know if there is a way to better the situation. Can I throw myself on the mercy of the court? If I bring the full amount or a substantial amount of the money do you think the judge will show leniency? What will happen if I can't make it to court or can't afford a lawyer? If I serve jail time will I still have to be on probation when I get out? Please get back to me soon.

I would suggest you get the fines and cost paid. I would also throw yourself on the mercy of the court. Go in and don't make excuses. Be honest with the court. And I would get your out-patient scheduled NOW. Go in showing the court you want to move one. It will really be up to the judge as to what happens. If you can't afford an attorney, you can always ask for a court appointed one. You should have been offered that at your first hearing on your PV
