Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas

Disorderly Conduct

I was charged with disorderly conduct in Manhattan Kansas recently, and will be going to court. I am curious as to what kind of fine I can be expected to receive. I have never been in trouble before, and as I am just getting ready to graduate from school I am very upset and worried about this affecting my job search.

Does manhattan offer a diversion program or anything so that I can avoid this going on my criminal record?

any help is appreciated

Re: Disorderly Conduct

Almost all states and local governments have laws that essentially forgive crimes committed by first time offenders and those under 21.

Disorderly Conduct is one of the least serious crimes on the book.

A lawyer can counsel you on how to keep this off your record or you can do it yourself if you're patient and listen well. Just don't plead guilty until you are assured a clean record after any fines/probation .
