Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
I am driving with a medical marijuana patient across Kansas. They are the owner of the of the vehicle and they are driving. If they keep the medicine in their possession the whole time am I risk of a ticket if we are pulled over?

Kansas does not recognize medical marijuana. If you are stopped, you both may be charged with possession of a controlled substance. However, if the owner acknowledges that the marijuana is theirs alone, you are less likely to be charged. The owner, despite their medical condition, could still face charges.
