Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
can an ex-felon get a passport? i have a new beau who wants to make plans to travel out of country with me, but he reports he has a felony criminal record for assault, that he has done his sentence for. is he allowed to apply for and receive a passport for international travel?

There is no absolute bar to someon wiht a felony conviction form obtaining a passport. But, it might make the process longer. For that reason, he should make his application as early as possible.
