Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
Expungement
Does the Kansas Bureau of Investigation charge a $100 fee for doing their part of an expungement case. My attorney is charging me an additional $100, that he says goes straight to the KBI to complete my expungement. He says everything else is done, but he can't complete the expungement until I send him the $100. I just need to know if he's trying to get more money from me? Thanks for the help.

Re: Expungement
If the conviction is in Kansas, Kansas law applies. I am licensed in Colorado, not Kansas. However, state fees in CO are higher than $100.
