Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
Expungment of Arrest Record
How can I have an arrest record expunged? I was never convicted, but the arrest shows up in a background check even through the case was dismissed.

Re: Expungment of Arrest Record
Contact a criminal defense lawyer in the county in which the charges were originally filed. The lawyer can give you more information about whether you are eligible for expungement and what the fees would entail. The process of expunging your record would include the filing of a petition for expungement and the payment of filing fees and attorney's fees.
