Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
I had a felony for possession of a controlled substance in 2007. I have a job offer at a place that deals with manufacturing a type of gun and I was wondering if I can work there or if I can't because of my felony charge.

There is nothing stopping you from working there except for the potential hiring practices of the employer, i.e. your felony conviction. It is their perogative. If it is an issue or you think it is going to be an issue, given the age of the conviction you should be able to have it expunged. Once expunged, then when asked if you have ever been convicted of a felony, you can legally say, that you haven't.
