Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
habeas corpus
why did his lawyer told him to take a plea when she knew that my son had evidence to prove that he didn't do anything. this was a court appointed lawyer. they tried my son as a adult, he was 17 at the time. the other 2 people that was with him was older than him, they have also been in trouble with the law.James have never been in trouble. The judge didn't take the plea so my son got 22 years. I just can't find anyone to help me with my case. They didn't have adequate evidence to try my son as a adult, under k.s.a.38-808that they had to find all 3 bases on it to certify him as a adult. Please if you can help my son out.
