Is it against the law for the DA to threaten someone into pleading guilty?

A prosecutor may not threaten physical or mntal violenc ein order to secure a confession or guilty plea. It is common for them tothreated to seek along jail sentnce if the defendant does not admit guilt. That is why most smart defendants get an attorney.
