Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
Littering on Private Property
My neighbor has been throwing leftover food scraps into my yard at night. I have caught her several times. My dogs eat it and get very sick. I was advised by an officer of the law to try to get a video or eyewitness of her committing the act and to bag up the food and save it. I don't own a video camera and rarely have anyone over to my house. Is there an easier way to get her to cease this nuisance?

I assume you've attempted to speak w/them?? Let them know you are aware of someone tossing food into your yard making your animals sick. Is it possible they think they are being kind? Giving left over food to your dogs? Short of that, someone has as camcorder. ..you need proof. . .give it to the appropriate city department and let them follow thru.
