Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
As a minor i was convicted of grand theft from an incident at walmart with friends. Now it 15yrs later and I get a ticket for petty theft at walmart. I have court tomorrow and I am wondering if the first incident can be used against me? Also, I would like to know if I can get a diversion since I was a minor when the first incident occured?

By now you have already had your initial Court date. It is unlikely that a juvenile offense will alter your options un the newest charge. If you were convicted as an adult, it might. The facts of each case make exact prediction possible, with just general facts. Therefore, do not rely just on general evaluations here. You need to consult directly with a criminal defense attorney. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation. Get advise as to your outings based upon the specific facts of your particular situation.
