Police Harrasment

Can I do anything about a police officer who is says he saw me I was on drugs and targeting me because of my skin color? This officer make lot of lies about me and when I complaint against him. It is my words against his and I always pay the price. Feel like he wants to lock me. What can I do I live in a small town and he is LT in police and every one is on his side. every time I try to defend myself my lawyer tell me I will lose because of my past.( last time D A office took me to court because some lady said I sold a lottery ticket to her 6 yr son . and it was my word against a that kid and I was forced to get a division ). This police officer keep making claims that he can arrest me or can get a search warrant and do this or that . What can I do I am at lost. My problem is what if some one else file a complaint they will lock me up. Can some tell me what should I do?

Keep a notebook or journal of the threats and other stuff you described. Make periodic compliants about the treatment you are getting, wherein you can state what exactly was doen at on what exact day. Eventually yoru complaintis will start to pile up. You will either be seen as a complainting nut, or the police department will start to wonder if there isn;t some truth to the ocmplaints, and they will then make the harassment stop. It is important that you don't break the law, or give them any reason to honestly suspect that you have.

If the treatment continues more than a few more months, start complainting higher up the ladder. If the local police department will not take your complaints seriously, then make a report to the attorney general's office in Topeka. You might even make a complaint to the KBI. Part of what they do is investigate dirty cops.
