Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
Are recorded tapes admissable in court?
I'm currently going to be in court accused of something I didn't do. While at a bar with the other person charged in this event. He confessed to me that he was the one that commited the crime but did not want to confess in court because he was worried about the punishment he would face due to previous arrests. If I were to record a similar conversation with him confessing. Would that be admissable in court?

Yes, the tape would be admissible in court. I hope the guy is foolish enough to say it again. If you need anything else, or are looking ofr a lawyer to represent you, give me a call at 913-648-7070.
