Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
Removal of felony charge
Can my son get a felony charge (1992) removed from his record? If so, when he seeks employment does he have to list the felony charge on his application? How much does it cost to get a felony charge removed (estimate).
Thank you.

Re: Removal of felony charge
Most felonies are eligible for removal, technically called expungement, after a 3 or 5 year waiting period, so there is a good chance he can get this done. Some convictions, such as homicides and sex offenses, are not eligible. You will want to talk to a lawyer in the area of the court where your son was convicted. If in the Wichita area, call Steve Ariagno, 316-265-5511. $500 is a common price in the KC area where I am, I don't know about Wichita.
