Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
My son was told by a co-worker to use a check from his bag to pay for some food, later found out that the check was stolen, is he at fault and could he be prosecuted

Your asking if your Son can be convicted of a crime for forging a check. If the check was in someone other than the coworker's name, he has few defenses. Someone can give you permission to write a check for them. Can they give you permission to use someone else's check?
You need to get your Son to a criminal defense attorney very soon. Otherwise this conviction may haunt him for decades, and start him on a bad path.
