can you be charged with terrorism if you told someone on active duty that you heard a rumor that someone is wanting to go after them? i'm being accused of collecting money and paying a hit man. can that happen all because i told the person of a rumor i had heard?

Under the facts you described, a person might be charged with making a terrorist threat. But, there is a difference between being accused and being convicted. Consult directly with an attorney before acting or not acting in the defense of the case you described.
