Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas
If I text a person and refuse to say my name or use an alias when asked for my name several times. Is that a crime? Is there a defense from that potential crime as the receiver of the texts threatened to call or alert police if I did not give them my name?

There is no crime for anonymity. But, if what you texted is illegal, you make yourself appear knowingly guilty by disguising yourself. It is the difference between someone trying to withdraw money from a bank and another doing so while wearing a ski mask and gloves. If they are both mistaken about having an account at that bank, which one do you think is more likely to be accused of trying to rob the bank?
Good luck
