what happens when a victim in kansas is orders to testify and refuses to testify or does not show up for court?

If they fail to appear, they can be foudn in contempt of court. If they disagree with the version of events that the person that calls them to court wants them to tell, they will likely not get into any trouble, if they are telling what they believe to be the truth. If it is domestic violence charge, then the prosecutor may be able to proceed without the live tesimoney an duse the police report statements instead. Good defense counsel may be able to prevent this.
