Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas

a women working as a parts driver at a auto store.

1. orders a part for a customer

2. customer never returns for the part

3. when part is inventored it shows up missing

4. the employee who ordered the was part fired from her job

5. there was no arrest

6. the woman says a ticket was issued you by a policeman

present at the termination.

7. the employee never received a court date.

8. three years pass.

9. the woman recieves a traffic ticket

10. her tag is run and a theft charge comes back

11. she is taken into custody. and she bonds out a few hours later

What postion is the woman in now? and how does she know

what the procedure from here is?

she has a court date in two days at a municipal court.

Your first court date in municipal court is considered an arraignment date. You may enter a plea. I strongly suggest you have an attorney; or if you cannot retain one, plead not guilty and ask for a new court date so you can contact an attorney.
