I got arrested for dui the other night. the officer made some mistakes that i wont elaborate on.. but the one i have a question on at the moment is this.................
After blowing a .10 i was bonded out. The bonds lady gave me a ride home but as we were pulling in my driveway she asked me where my vehicle was. I told her it was just around the corner about a block away. She said "I can just take you there and you can drive it home. the officer said it is ok to do that" I was like WOW!!. So i had her take me there hoping that this would help me get off in court. This all happend less than 30 minutes after blowing a .10.
What would a lawyer do with this? Will they have a no brainer case and throw it out of court or is it ok to get dropped off at your car after a dui? the car was never impounded and a neighbor guy parked it for me at his house before i got hauled off to the police station.
Thanks

Having the bondsman drop you off at your car probably won't help in court. Whatever the police told her would be considered hearsay, and I doubt either the police or the bondsman will testify as to that statement in court.
The more pressing problem is your license. Assuming the officer took your license and gave you a temporary paper permit, you must request an administrative hearing now or your license may be suspended. An attorney can prepare such a request for you. If timely filed, it will preserve your driving privileges until, and hopefully after, the hearing.
