Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Our 15 year old Grand daughter has been staying with us all summer. Now we need to enroll her in school, but need to be her legal guardian. Her father is willing to do this. He works out of state. Is this possible?

Yes. Unless the mother contests, the father can grant you temporary custodianship. Consult directly with a family law attorney, in your area, to prepare the proper documentation.
