Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

I am 18 years old in the state of Kansas. Is it illegal for my mother to knowingly open my private mail? She has also applied for a credit card using all of my information against my consent. Is this illegal as well?

Now that you are eighteen, it is an offense for your mother to open your mail without your permission. It is unlawful for her to apply for a credit card, in your name, or using your personal information, without your permission. You may have to call the Police or sue her. Of course, she does not have to feed or house you anymore. So, if you call the Police or sue her, you should probably be ready to support yourself.

Good luck
