Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Can I get arrested for taking my daughter to my parents house because I left my husband? Its in the same area, and my husband was at work so she would have been home alone if I would have left her. I told him I was not keeping her from him, however I wasnt going to let her be by herself.

If there is no current court Order regarding custody, you may take the child to your parents' home. Both parents havre equal rights to custody until a court Order imposes restrictions. Consult an experienced family law attorney. We are here to help.
