According to Kansas Law, courts have continuing jurisdiction to modify child support orders to advance the welfare of the child(ren) when there is a material change of circumstances. Such material changes may include, but are not limited to: 1) A change in a parent's income that would result in a child support increase or decrease of at least ten percent. 2) The child attaining an age that moves the child into the next age bracket for child support calculations. 3) A change in one or more supplemental considerations, such as health insurance premium change, daycare changes or parenting time changes that would result in a child support increase or decrease of at least ten percent.
