Changing locks on the house
Can I change the locks on my house even if my husband still has a few items in my house? He chose to leave.

Re: Changing locks on the house
Changing locks is not an effective way to limit a spouse's access to the residence. Until a restraining order is entered, either party has the right to enter the premises. A restraining order is most often granted after the filing of a Petition for one of the following legal actions:
Protection From Abuse, Divorce, Annulment, or Legal Separation.
