Child support

Im about to have a baby and am on TANF.Me and the father are together.I have heard he has to pay the TANF back and be put on child support but he is already financially here for me so i dont want to put him on child support. will the state go after him? And if he puts his name on the birth certificate will they go after him.he doesnt want to put his name on the birth certificate because neither one of us want him to have to pay child support.

Re: Child support

If you are getting adequate support, why are you on TANF? Those two things don't seem to go together. That may be why they may seek reimbursement. If his name is on the birth certificate, it will be easier for them to go after him. If you are married to him, they will nto go after him.

Good Luck
