Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

College

My husbands ex says that his daughter whom he has not seen in over 2 years is taking him to court to get him to help pay for her college. She is 18 and now graduated, is there anything a court can try to make him pay for? There was nothing in the divorce and she actually lived with us until 2 years ago. She was an out of control teen and she ended up living with her grandparents until going to college,

If this is purely a Kansas case, the father has no obligation for college expenses unless he already agreed to do so in the divorce paperwork.
