Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

we have no court order for custody. we agreed joint was best.we have lived this way for almost a year now. my question... is either parent allowed legally to take the children out of the home state for several days without the other parents consent or knowledge?

Generally, as long as paternity is established, and therei is no Court Order to the contrary, either parent can take the child across state lines for a visit. If one parent keeps the child out of state too long, the other will probably seek a Court Order to establish custody and visitation.
