Credit respondablity

In my divorce my x was given the car, i was a sighner on this car how do i go about getting my name off of it, and get it off of my credit report so i can buy a new car, it is showing on my credit report as in good standing but loan company said i must pay it off or trade it in before they will loan on another one.

help me please

You ex would have to qualify for the loan on his own. Or, his creditor may release you. You should contact the creditor.
