Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas
My daughter
Ok, I took my daughter to my husbands in KS. to visit for the summer. I went to pick her up and he refused to let me. Now he is filing for divorce and going to try to get sole custody. I can't afford what laywers are charging, or qualify for legal aid because I make too much to qualify. If I contest is there any chance the judge will consider letting me have my daughter back? If he is on the birth cert. and we all know he isn't he father can the judge order a test? We got married a little over a year after my 5yr old was born. I really need some kind of help with this!!!Thank you for your patience.

You need to raise the issue of paternity as soon as possible. If he is not the father, there is a good chance that your daughter will come home to you.
