Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Divorce modifaction

My ex and I did a simple divorce 10 months ago. I agreed to a 1 time payment of 50K from her because she said that we would be ''working'' on getting back together. That is not happening. She makes 4-600K/year and I am out of work. Can I go back and ask for spousal support in Kansas?

Re: Divorce modifaction

Whether your spousal maintenance is modifiable depends on what your Decree says. Normally, it is not modifiable upward. The fact that she paid you a lump sum of $50,000.00 seems to indicate you thought that was a fair amount at the time. Consult an experienced family law attorney. We are here to help.
