can you place add in a local newspaper of the county your were married in for a period of time annoucing your intentions of divorice if you do not know the location of your spouse

Kansas law does allow service by publication if done properly. If publication is the basis for service on the spouse, the court's jurisdiction to handle property and money issues is limited. Consult an experienced family law attorney.
