Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Does this document make me legally married. It an affidavit of marriage signed by both parties in front of a legal notary. And will i need a divorce in order to get married to someone else.

If you meet the other criterion if a common law marriage, the document you described could be used to claim that you're married. This could be in a division of property suit, or to claim spousal rights in probate, should you decease. If you plan to obtain a marriage license, you should first consult directly with a family law attorney.
