Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Domestic Relations Affadavits

How is the Domestic Relations Affadavits calculated. I am thinking of modifying my currect Child Support and before I contact my attorney, I was hoping to figure it out myself to see if there would be any changes in the amount. When it was first calculated three years ago, I was making $50,000 and my daughter was 5 years old. She is now 9, and I am at a new job making $30,000. Would there be a huge difference in the amount I would receive. I do pay medical insurance for her through my current husband's position. My ex-husband and the child's father has been in and out of work and is in arrears with his support which is another huge issue...getting him to pay more and on time is a challenge in itself. Is it worth my time and effort or will it only change it alittle. My daughter's needs are changing as she gets older.
