Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Okay I am engaged to a man with 2 kids. A year ago the mother of the kids beat them. She is serving time for beating them and stalking me. SHe gets out Jan 29th. I have a standing PFS against her. We have joint custody with us having residential. She will get supervised visits once a wk when released. We want to move 57 miles away-job market and school dist suck. DO we need to notify her since all contact is thru srs visitaion place? do we need to file a motion since its only an hour away? so lost, pls help...

The children's father must follow all of the Notice requirements of Kansas law prior to moving the children's residence. Contact an experienced family law attorney.
