Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas
My Exhusbands wife is Harrassing me
How can I go about getting my exhusbands wife to quit harrassing me? Everytime a circumstance arises that involves my son she is the one to call me and complain. She leaves nasty messages on my machine, talks bad about me to my son who is 10yrs old. She screams obsenities and threatens to take me to court over any situation that would normally be easy to deal with by communicating. I want her to stop calling, leaving nasty msg's talking bad about me to my son, writing nasy letters. Would a restraining order staop this? And how would I get one if so? Any help would be gratly appreciated!

Re: My Exhusbands wife is Harrassing me
Obviously, as adults we can survive and overcome "sticks and stones". . .the concern would be for the welfare of your 10 year old child. . .is he being exposed to verbal assaults about his parent? Contact your legal counsel; take the tapes you mentioned for his or her review; the court is concerned about 'the best interests of the child'. . .minimally, mediation might be ordered wherein the maligner would be confronted with the inappropriateness of her behavior--or maximally, answer to the court. Be certain that you have not stooped to her level. . .the pendulum swings both ways. good luck.
