Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas
Use of last name
My ex-wife remarried seven/eight years ago and uses her now married name but she is still using my last name in her listing in the phone book. This is causing people to think we are still associated. Is there any legal recourse I can take to get her to stop using my last name?

Re: Use of last name
Although seven to eight years is a long time, your former wife may want people to be able to find her under the married name. There is no restriction on the use of the name. In general, people can use any name, even an alias, as long as no faudulent or illegal purpose is involved.
