Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas
My GF was forced by her mother to give her child up for an open adoption at 15. She is now 17, and will have her High School Diploma, and is planing to move in with me. We will both be working steady jobs, as well as have a place to live. She has seen the adoptive parents smoking weed, the adoptive father is out all night, and has been busted several times at "gentlemens" clubs, even tho he is married, and has two children to care for. The adoption mother has tried to push charges on me, with no proof to back up her claims, as well as defaimed my character. The adoptive parents also lied to us about the birthfather signing his rights away, which he never did. They have also spread rumors that my girlfriend is sharing nude pictures of herself, and doing drugs, to try and hurt our relationship and the relationship she has with her mother. The adoptive parents are know for mood swings. One moment my GF is aloud to see her child, next they say they will file to have her baned from seeing her. It is an open adoption, that my GF was forced into, are we able to get our daughter back? She was born 1-2-11

If you are the biological father, and you did not agree to the adoption, you may seek custody of the child.
