Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

My ex husband and I recently returned to court this past March. After not seeing our two daughter (but continuing to see our son, sometimes) for nine months and sending text messages to our oldest daughter and myself stating he no longer wanted the girls. He then demanded to see the girls, because he was angry with me. He uses the children to try to maintain control of me. I took him to court to ask to return to mediation. Because of the issues stated and a few others the judge stopped his visitations, until he attended mediation and Co parenting classes. This again was in March and he has yet to do this. My question is how long will the courts allow him to not comply? What are the next steps I need to take? Will he have any consequences for his actions or lack thereof? To me the judges request was not a difficult one. Co-parenting, mediation, and that is it. He has also stopped paying his child support. He is currently over 8000 dollars in arrears (past arrears included), and lost his job again in June. This is the third or fourth time in five years he has been fired, and has quit two jobs. He was also ordered to pay me back for my truck. He was ordered in our divorce decree to pay it and didn't, therefore I had to. That is 8000, plus the 8000 in arrears.. I am lost at this point, and the court trustee is doing what she can.

It sounds like you've decided to go Pro Se in your divorce case. You might need an attorney to collect the debt owed to you by your Ex.

Good luck
