Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas
A judge agreed on a split custody of my kid, with my ex husband.
My kid is 13 years old and he does not want to go anymore to his father house due to not caring for him and his father going to adult party and bringing my sun along, where alcohol and drugs are used. After my sun told me this he decided not to go anymore to his father's house, and i did not force him to go.
His Father now made a petition against me because i'm not allowing my son to go to his house.
I am not stopping my kid to go or not go. What can i do? do i need to force my son against his will?

Courts uniformly take the position that the child does not get to decide whether to participate in parenting time. If there are valid reasons why the parenting time should be limited or suspended, those reasons should be brought to the court's attention. Consult an experienced family law attorney.
