Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Jurisdiction of Law For Custody of Child

If divorce is obtained in okla. and sole custody is for mother who lives in Kansas and father is granted every other weekend for visitation and visitation is to be in okla. by mother bringing child to okla. to father, to county in which divorce was granted and court appointed child visit to occur in county of divorce. A restraining order was issued from judge in kansas to a friend of the father of child in okla. and father allowed child to be around his friend violating restraining order from kansas and no consequence befell violater in okla. because of jurisdiction of restraining order, question is does the mother who has sole custody have the right to deny visitation in okla. without denying father visitation or all together not allow visitation at all because of jurisdiction of divorce decree. For the protection of the child from fathers friend. is this not all jurisdictional?

Re: Jurisdiction of Law For Custody of Child

Apparently your information is faulty. . .If the divorce and original jurisdiction is State of OK, a KS court would not issue an order of restraint w/o conversing w/the OK court. If mom and child are residents of KS, why not move to transfer jurisdiction of the child to KS? You need legal counsel to assist.
