A common law marriage requires three elements:

1) The capacity to get married, i.e. you are not underage or already married;

2) The intent to be married;

3) Holding yourselves out as husband and wife, i.e. filing joint tax returns or introducing yourselves in public as husband and wife.

Your question does not indicate whether you satisfy requirement #2, the intention to be married. If not, you are not married, you have just filed an improper tax return.
