Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Owned before marriage.

I am wandering in Kansas if and when you get married what you own before you get married is your when the marriage is over. And if a house isn't payed off when the marriage begins but gets payed off in the next few years, does the same thing apply. Then as far as other things in the house, how does that work as well! Hope that all makes sense! Thanks!!
