Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas
Is perjury still taken seriously?
In a recent custody case involving a family member, the mother committed perjury on the stand. There are several people who could testify that she did this. However, the father was told that not only is perjury hard to prove, but its not taken seriously anymore as people perjure themselves in court frequently. Is this true?! Thank you.

Re: Is perjury still taken seriously?
I would have to say it really depends on the judge. I would hope it is still taken seriously by the judge handling the case.
