Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Property settlement

I filed for divorce Jan 5th. My husband is having an affair . I know Kansas is a no fault state.

We have gone back and forth trying to come to a property settlement using our attorneys with no resolution. Recently, my husband suggested we meet to try to find a resolution between ourselves. He came up with a property settlement which I agreed to and so did he. He gave me a copy of this settlement and I asked him to sign it for me. I gave it to my attorney, now my husband is saying he did not agree to this proposed agreement. Is he held liable for this agreement? What happens if we do not come to some kind of property agreement? We have a court date June 2nd. Also, spousal support is in question. He does not want to pay me anything even though I have not worked the past year and have not worked regularly throughout our 14 year marriage. Thanks.

Re: Property settlement

If you can't come to an agreement, your case will be decided by a judge. I would suggest you attempt formal mediation with a meditor.
