Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas
Ex refuses to give me custody
Before I left, my ex had me brain washed that he would turn me in for kidnapping if I left with our son. When I left, I took him to a babysitter until his father got home. I left a note telling him where the baby was and that I had left him. I wasn't even gone for a week and he had already filed for temp. custody. Of course it was granted to him because I didn't know he was going to court. I now want to settle for an arrangement but he is only offering to let me have my son one weekend a month. I would like to have my son for about 2 weeks at a time and then he would have him for 2 weeks. I don't know what else to do. I want my son to know me but his dad is just pushing me away from him. What do I do?

You should consult an attorney before entering into any agreement, especially one in which you feel as though you are not being treated fairly. By having your own attorney you can be assured that your legal rights are being protected.

If you are serious about custody of your child, get yourself to an attorney asap. . .do not attempt to handle this yourself.
